Spicy Black Bean Bowls


1/2 cup cooked brown rice$1.89
2 – 14.5 oz. cans of black beans$1.69
1 tsp. cumin$0.39
1 tsp. chili powder$0.39
4 cloves of garlic (minced0$0.39
1 yellow onion (chopped)$0.89
1 avocado (sliced)$0.99

Cooking Instructions:

Sauté onion and garlic in a small sauce pan. Add rinsed black beans and cook for 3 minutes. Add cumin and chili powder and continue to cook for 5-8 more minutes. Mean while prep your veggies as listed in the ingredient list above. Layer the cooked brown rice on the bottom of your bowl and top with the sautéed black beans. Top your rice and black beans with your prepped veggies. Garnish your bowl with a drizzle of olive oil, fresh cilantro sprigs and a fresh lime squeeze.
